"They ward off cold and heat and beasts of prey from there And creeping things and gnats and rains in the wet season.
When the dreaded hot wind arises, that is warded off.

To meditate and obtain insight in a shelter and at ease — A dwelling-place is praised by the Awakened One as chief gift to an Order.

Therefore a wise man looking to his own weal, Should have dwelling-places built, so that Learned ones can stay therein.
To these food and drink, raiment and lodgings He should give, to the upright, with mind purified.

Then these will teach him Dhamma dispelling every ill; He, knowing that Dhamma, here attains Nibbana, cankerless."

Our History

Get to Know Us

Dhamma Training Grounds (DTG) was established in 2025 with a heartfelt mission: to create a sanctuary where the Dhamma is not just studied, but lived.

In a world where Dhamma is often confined to chants and recitations, DTG exists to embody the Buddha’s true encouragement—to practise the Dhamma, not merely speak of it. The Buddha praised those who walked the path, whose actions reflected the teachings, more than those who could merely recite them.

As its name suggests, Dhamma Training Grounds is a place for spiritual training. It is open to all who wish to deepen their understanding of life through the Buddha’s teachings—monastics and laypeople alike. Whether you are new to the Dhamma or seeking to apply it more fully in your daily life, DTG welcomes you to grow through learning, practice, and community.

Our Vision

Get to Know Us

The vision of DTG was founded by Mr. Panha Pal, known affectionately as the Dhamma Warrior. After facing many of life’s challenges without the guidance of the Dhamma, he came to realise its profound power to transform suffering into peace. Inspired by the Buddha’s boundless compassion, he envisioned a monastery that would offer this gift freely to the world.

At the heart of DTG’s vision is the belief that everyone deserves access to the Dhamma—not just as an idea, but as a living experience. Our goal is to:

  • Provide a spiritual home for monks and monastic training

  • Offer laypeople a supportive environment to practise and live by the Dhamma

  • Create a space where respect for the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha is cultivated naturally through daily actions

DTG is the humble beginning of a greater mission—to one day become a world-renowned Buddhist charity and monastery that helps spread the Dhamma freely to all corners of the globe.
